Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Site Project Controls Lead to oversee cost estimating, forecasting, planning and scheduling across multiple plant engineering projects at Green Valley sites. You will supervise Cost Leads, Schedulers, and Quantity Surveyors to ensure accurate reporting and risk mitigation.

The role requires extensive experience with SAP, Primavera P6 and ERP-based control systems, plus strong communication and multi-tasking skills in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent.
• Extensive project controls experience in an industrial setting is required.
• Proficient with SAP, P6 and reporting tools; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project controls across multiple plant engineering projects.
• Develop and manage cost estimates, forecasts, and performance reporting.
• Guide Cost Leads/Engineers, Schedulers/Planners and Quantity Surveyors.
• Maintain WBS/CBS structures and ensure schedule integrity.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and DOA processes; manage AFEs and pay apps.
