Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a Site Project Controls Lead to oversee cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, scheduling, and performance reporting across plant projects at our sites. You will guide a team of engineers, schedulers, and quantity surveyors to ensure consistent results aligned with project objectives.

Responsibilities include maintaining forecast accuracy, coordinating change management, and ensuring SOP-compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field with eight years of project controls experience, or high school diploma with twelve years’ experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee project controls across multiple plant projects, including cost estimating, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
• Provide leadership to engineers, schedulers, and quantity surveyors to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts with variance analysis and risk consideration.
• Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly project controls reports per SOPs.
• Manage change orders, DOA, and log systems for key projects.
• Maintain project schedule baselines and monitor variances with recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with project controls standards and documentation.
• Oversee progress measurement and percent complete calculations.
• Review AFE requests for inputs and approvals.
• Maintain WBS codes to support cost and schedule control.
• Perform other duties as required.
