Janotta & Herner in Ohio is seeking a Site Work & Heavy Equipment Operator to prepare construction sites for building projects. You will operate a range of heavy machinery, perform excavation, grading, trenching, and install storm piping systems and related structures, ensuring ground is leveled, compacted, and ready for foundations.

You must have a valid driver's license, CDL, and experience with GPS-equipped equipment, reading blueprints, and working outdoors in diverse weather.

Formación

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• CDL required.
• Ability to haul equipment and drive loaded dump trucks.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.
• Strong knowledge of site work methods, safety practices, and heavy equipment operations.
• Experience operating and setting up GPS equipped equipment.
• Proficient with setting up and using transit and lasers.
• Ability to work from jobsite blueprints plans and project documents.
• Knowledge of Ohio EPA and SWP3 requirements.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, and handle varying weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Operate bulldozers, graders, excavators, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks and other equipment safely per policy.
• Move material safely without endangering personnel or equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete forms.
• Maintain equipment daily.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Perform GPS and non-GPS operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
