Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to oversee front-line staff and cleaning of designated facilities in coordination with Managers. You will ensure productivity, safety, quality and client expectations are met, while directing daily operations and training new workers.

This role requires at least one year of supervisory and janitorial experience, strong communication, and the ability to work overnight shifts and weekends as needed. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• One year of supervisory experience.
• One year of janitorial experience.
• Training in the cleaning industry or building management preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal.
• May be required to work overnight shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an assigned area or building.
• Directly supervise front-line staff.
• Ensure productivity and customer service requirements are met; ensure safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Direct and clean designated areas within established timeframes.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• Manage employee lunches and breaks.
• Maintain staffing levels by coordinating with Managers.
• Coach, counsel and discipline employees in coordination with Managers.
• Set a positive, professional example for the workforce.
• Conduct safety and quality audits.
• Assign tasks to front-line team members based on requirements.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to standards.
• Train new workers and oversee ongoing training.
