Job summary

Univar Solutions, a global chemical distributor, seeks an Operations Leader in San Diego to oversee daily branch operations, including transport, warehouse, and tank farm activities.

You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and efficiency, coordinating with sales and management while guiding staff and supervising daily activities. A strong background in chemical distribution and cgmp is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years operations experience.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation preferred.
• Familiarity with gov't requirements (OSHA/EPA/DOT) preferred or able to attain such knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily safe, efficient, legal operations of the assigned branch (transport, warehouse, tank farm).
• Support health, safety, and environmental policies; complete required training and documentation.
• Support sales efforts while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and incident investigations; communicate root causes and corrective actions.
• Update management on branch performance, costs, productivity and trends.
