Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc in Irvine seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily branch activities, including transportation, warehouse and tank farm operations, ensuring safety, legality and cost efficiency.

You will enforce health, safety and environmental policies, supervise staff, coordinate inspections, support sales, manage budgets and drive continuous improvements using SOPs and GMP awareness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of operations experience in a chemical/distribution setting.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT and related governmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily safe, efficient, legal and economical branch operations.
• Facilitates compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and training.
• Supports sales efforts while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Conducts safety audits in conjunction with Branch Operations Manager.
• Investigates incidents and communicates root causes with corrective actions.
• Updates upper management on branch performance and trends.
• Conducts daily pre-shift meetings and provides supervisory presence.
• Coordinates day-to-day activities to meet goals.
• Ensures staff have tools and training on safety and SOPs.
• Oversees drug testing and medical surveillance as required.
• General office duties and communications with customers.
• Supports inspections and paperwork for hazardous waste and transport.
