Job summary

JRM Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily on-site operations, coordinate trades, track materials, and ensure safety compliance on commercial projects in Anaheim. You will cover for the Superintendent when needed and manage construction administration tasks including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and site logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in commercial construction
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial construction plans and specifications
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification required
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on site

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in managing daily site operations, including trade coordination, material tracking, and safety compliance
• Maintain proficiency in document control tools and processes, ensuring accurate reporting
• Track procurement items from submittal through delivery and site installation
• Read and interpret drawings and communicate relevant information to stakeholders
• Supervise designated trades and work areas within the project scope
• Cover the jobsite in the Superintendent’s absence and resolve safety or project issues with subcontractors
• Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, progress tracking, and safety paperwork
• Coordinate building access, delivery schedules, and site logistics
• Utilize construction software and MS Office to support documentation and communication
• Assist Superintendent on small-to-medium projects or support multiple Superintendents on larger projects
