Job summary

Interlake Mecalux, Inc. is seeking a Site Manager to lead the installation of manual and automatic warehouse projects from the Melrose Park site. The role involves reviewing drawings, preparing installation plans, and ensuring projects meet budgets and schedules.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel mostly domestically and to Canada. A focus on safety and quality is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations related to installation of warehouse projects at customer site.
• Review drawings and prepare construction/installation plans; approve project plans.
• Prepare RFQs and negotiate with subcontractors.
• Coordinate internal and external resources among subcontractors and customer.
• Monitor material flow and delivery planning; report discrepancies.
• Allocate tasks and schedules; enforce safety and quality policies.
• Coordinate training and professional development for employees.
• Support contractors with assembly methodology and drawing interpretation.
• Calculate and monitor project budget and progress; report to Area Manager.
• Prepare and submit weekly progress reports.
• Verify structural and robotic systems per topographic measurements.
