Job summary

Interlake Mecalux seeks a Sr. Planning Engineer to lead production planning across manufacturing and distribution in the U.S. You will optimize schedules, coordinate with Sales, Shipping, Engineering, and Management, and ensure on-time delivery from the Melrose Park HQ.

The role requires strong analytics, 5–10 years of related experience, and fluency in coordinating with US and Mexico operations. On-site work with interstate travel supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5–10 years in a similar planning/operations role.
• On-site work at Melrose Park, IL headquarters; travel 10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials per master schedule.
• Plan production based on inventory and orders in SAP with US/Mexico teams.
• Participate in daily plant management meetings to track progress.
• Meet daily production/shipping goals and reduce scrap where possible.
• Analyze shipping capacities and adjust schedules to meet lead times.
• Communicate delays and adjust plans to minimize impact on customers.
• Coordinate with sales, shipping, plants, engineering, and mgmt daily.
