This position reports to the Construction Manager and requires strong leadership, high-level problem-solving ability, and the capability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.

About WRS

Are You a Good Fit?

Our ideal candidate is innovative, relational, and honest.

  • Oversee multiple construction and maintenance projects simultaneously, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, Safety, and Estimating to ensure alignment across all project functions.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules, including look-ahead planning.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to minimize impact on safety, schedule, and cost.
  • Monitor and manage project performance, including productivity, cost tracking, and progress reporting.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and client expectations.
  • Visit job sites regularly to assess progress, provide direction, and ensure accountability within field teams.
  • Directly oversee Foremen and field personnel, providing leadership, mentorship, and development to improve performance and accountability.
  • Coordinate workforce planning, including staffing levels, scheduling, and allocation of manpower and equipment.
  • Partner with Human Resources and company leadership on personnel decisions, development, and performance management.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and alignment with WRS values.
Your Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to manage electronic documentation, reporting, scheduling, and project management software; experience with HCSS (HeavyJob, HeavyBid) or similar systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions, and to work through problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and workforce planning skills, with the ability to mentor and develop field leadership.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms as required on an active jobsite; ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; close and far vision required. Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
