Responsibilities
- Responsible to the Program Manager for overseeing all administrative, maintenance, logistics, quality, financial, and safety operations at the site, ensuring contractual requirements are met or exceeded within budget.
- Regularly meet with the Program Manager to discuss operations and ensure the program's progress.
- Maintain a customer-oriented approach.
- Act as the overall manager and administrator for the contract effort at the site.
- Handle all financial matters, including establishing controls to meet budget goals.
- Develop positive relationships with the COR and local Air Force representatives.
- Serve as the primary interface with local government authorities and representatives on program and contract issues.
- Conduct management meetings to ensure performance aligns with expectations.
- Create local management procedures and controls.
- Develop policies and procedures to promote safe work practices.
- Participate in monthly Safety Reviews.
- Oversee operational matters to fulfill contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager and other divisions to resolve issues beyond local capability.
- Focus on employee morale and welfare, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Attend detachment planning meetings and other meetings as requested by the customer.
- Ensure adherence to performance and discipline standards.
- Participate in hiring processes and assist in selecting new employees.
- Recommend personnel actions such as promotions and disciplinary measures.
- Ensure personnel meet training, certification, and re-certification requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Comply with the Hazardous Waste Program and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or Program Manager.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a SECRET or higher security clearance; preference for active clearance.
- Ten (10) years of aircraft maintenance experience required.
- Strong analytical skills for managing complex administrative and aircraft maintenance issues.
- Effective communication, managerial, and organizational skills.
- Courteous and professional interaction with customers and employees.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to work in both office and aircraft maintenance hangar environments.
