MHA (Mental Health Association) seeks a Site Manager to oversee daily operations at a Chicopee site, ensuring safe, high‑quality service delivery for participants. The role reports to the Program Coordinator and focuses on efficient, supportive program management.

The position involves coordinating staff, managing medications, handling petty cash, and supporting staff onboarding and training to sustain program growth. A valid license and caregiving readiness are required.

Qualifications

  • Six months of relevant experience; experience with brain injuries, mental health challenges, or developmental disabilities is desirable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and adequate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff schedules and maintain adequate staffing ratios.
  • Oversee medication management: counts, ordering, documentation, verification.
  • Manage program finances: petty cash, money counts, check requests with guidance from Program Coordinator.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new staff.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of medications, participant goals, behavioral data, and incident reports.
  • Schedule and support attendance for medical, therapy, and community appointments.
  • Promote a safe, supportive environment; address safety concerns and model engagement.
  • Communicate with Program Coordinator; participate in meetings and training.

Pay Rate

$20.50 - $21.50 an hour


Open Shift

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 12pm-8pm, Thursday & Saturday 9am-5pm (40hrs)


Key Responsibilities


  • Coordinate staff schedules and maintain adequate staffing ratios to ensure smooth program operations

  • Oversee medication management, including counts, ordering, documentation, and verification

  • Manage program finances, including petty cash, money counts, and check requests, with oversight from the Program Coordinator

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new staff members to support program growth

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of medications, participant goals, behavioral data, and incident reports

  • Schedule and support participant attendance for medical, therapy, and community appointments

  • Promote a safe and supportive environment by addressing safety concerns, reporting incidents, and modeling positive engagement with participants

  • Communicate effectively with the Program Coordinator and team, participate in meetings and training, and collaborate to achieve program goals

Requirements


  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and sufficient automobile insurance, with a safe driving record

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Ability to pass a background and CORI check

  • Comfortable providing personal care to participants, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.)

  • At least six months of relevant experience; experience supporting individuals with brain injuries, mental health challenges, or developmental disabilities is highly desirable

  • Strong commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for participants
