New Ways Services – ABI Division is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee two residential homes serving survivors of acquired brain injury. You will supervise Site Managers and Direct Support Specialists, ensure high-quality care, promote a positive program culture, and coordinate with nursing and clinical staff to comply with federal, state, and organizational policies.

Salary is $55,000–$57,000 annually. Working Monday through Friday, 8am–4pm (40 hours).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years professional experience with at least 2 in supervision.
  • Experience with brain injury survivors or required care preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage priorities.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications maintained; MAP certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Site Managers and staff to ensure care delivery, staffing ratios, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and discipline.
  • Remove barriers and solve operational issues to maintain continuity of care.
  • Collaborate on ISP development and monitor transitions from facilities.
  • Maintain licensing and regulatory compliance through audits and education.
  • Serve as liaison between departments, DDS Service Coordinators, vendors, state agencies, and families.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and weekly reporting for program safety.
  • Foster a collaborative, safe team environment focused on participant needs.

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator oversees two residential homes serving survivors of acquired brain injury or other major life-changing events. They ensure high-quality care, promote a positive program culture, and supervise Site Managers and Direct Support Specialists. Working closely with nursing and clinical staff, the Coordinator ensures compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies.

$55,000-57,000 annually

Monday through Friday 8am-4pm (40hrs)

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Site Managers and staff to ensure exceptional care delivery, adequate staffing ratios, program schedules, and timely completion of program deadlines through supervision and training.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions in coordination with the Senior Director and Vice President.
  • Remove barriers and problem-solve operational issues that delay or disrupt services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate on Individual Service Plan (ISP) development, monitor implementation, and manage transitions from skilled nursing facilities, including Transitional Assistance Plans.
  • Maintain licensing and regulatory compliance through audits, systems management, staff education, and adherence to MHA policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, DDS Service Coordinators, external vendors, state agencies, and families/guardians, ensuring clear communication, reporting, and referrals.
  • Participate in the divisional on-call system by maintaining 100% communication coverage for assigned clusters and submitting weekly on-call reports to ensure program safety.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and safe team environment focused on participant needs, workplace safety, and reporting hazards or incidents as required.

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, sufficient auto insurance, and acceptable driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with brain injury survivors or individuals requiring physical care strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, lead a team, and adapt to participant needs.
  • Strong oral, written, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with patience, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Must maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid.
  • Current Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification required.
