Job summary

Werfen seeks a Director of Operations & Site Leader for the Transfusion unit in Warren, NJ. This role oversees manufacturing and supply chain, driving quality, compliance, and efficiency while managing a diverse, high-performance team.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, Quality, Marketing, R&D. Travel up to 10% is possible; strong GMP exposure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years leading in Operations and Supply chain in a regulated and diagnostics environment required.
• Lean Training and/or Six Sigma Certification
• Experience in FDA regulated industries and knowledge of GMPs
• Experience building high performing teams and driving continuous improvement
• Experience in Aseptic Manufacturing
• Experience in automation and manual operations

Responsibilities

• Direct Warren manufacturing (MFG) and supply chain (SC) departments, ensuring high quality products and reliable supply.
• Lead with Quality, Compliance, and Safety as core values, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide site leadership in planning, compliance, quality assurance, and budgeting.
• Build and develop a high-performing team, mentoring and succession planning.
• Implement safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Oversee global supplier sourcing, purchasing, and materials coordination.
• Manage end-to-end operations to ensure continuity of supply and issue resolution.
• Oversee full site budgets and financial targets.
