Job description

SITE LEAD — GENERAL MANAGER [Full-Time]

Transwest Mobile / Naumann Hobbs Material Handling is a growing leader in mobile fleet maintenance and repair services, operating across multiple states with a rapidly expanding footprint. We are looking for an experienced, operationally driven leader to step in as Site Lead and take full ownership of one of our branch operations.

This is not a department manager role. This is a general management position with complete accountability for site performance — revenue, customer relationships, technician productivity, service manager leadership, safety, and the overall standard of everything that happens at your location. You are the person whose name is on the operation. When your site wins, it is because of the culture, the urgency, and the standards you built.

This role is ideal for someone who has led fleet service operations, managed P&L-level site accountability, or built high-performing field service teams — and who is looking for a role where ownership is real, not theoretical.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own the Operation
  • Take full accountability for the site's revenue performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
  • Lead, coach, and develop service managers — ensuring they are actively managing technicians, communicating with customers, and driving daily results
  • Monitor and manage every open service order, technician workflow, parts status, and customer update in real time through Fullbay and direct communication
  • Conduct daily PM meetings with service managers to review all open and scheduled work, inspect quality, and correct issues before they carry forward
  • Set the pace and the standard for the entire site — your level of urgency, preparation, and attention to detail becomes the team's baseline
Drive Customer Relationships
  • Maintain proactive, consistent communication with key customers — building trust before problems arise, not just responding when something breaks
  • Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns, ensuring every issue is heard, owned, and resolved with honesty, urgency, and follow-through
  • Ensure customers experience a true fleet partner, not just a repair shop — they should never have to chase us for updates, answers, or accountability
Lead and Develop Your Team
  • Stay closely connected to your technicians — know what they are working on, what they need, and how they are doing, every single day
  • Build a team culture where accountability, effort, and ownership are the standard — not just words in a meeting, but visible in daily actions
  • Coach service managers and technicians toward growth — the goal is to develop people who want to get better, not just avoid mistakes
  • Support your team by action, not just direction — when the work needs help, you step in without hesitation
Own Safety and Compliance
  • Serve as the site's primary owner of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and facility presentation
  • Conduct routine inspections, enforce documentation requirements, and ensure every person on your site understands and follows safety expectations
  • Identify, document, and address safety incidents, hazards, or near-misses immediately and in accordance with company policy
Manage the Details That Drive Results
  • Track and maintain all on-site assets — company equipment, service vehicles, tools, inventory, and customer fleet assets
  • Monitor technician clock-ins, timesheets, idle time, and job progression throughout the day — issues are addressed in real time, not after the fact
  • Ensure billing accuracy by reviewing service orders before they move to invoicing — labor, parts, travel, and notes must be complete and correct
  • Manage vendor and contractor coordination to keep the facility and operation running without disruption
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven leadership experience in fleet services, mobile maintenance, heavy truck/equipment operations, or a closely related field service industry
  • A track record of owning site-level or branch-level P&L performance and driving measurable results
  • Experience directly managing service managers, technicians, or field service teams — not just overseeing, but actively leading
  • Strong operational instincts — you stay connected to the work, the schedule, and the customer experience in real time
  • High personal accountability — you own outcomes, not just tasks, and you do not look for external explanations when results fall short
  • Comfortable making hard decisions — coaching underperformers, correcting problems directly, and holding a consistent standard
  • Clear, professional communicator who builds trust with customers, technicians, and leadership alike
  • Highly organized and self-directed — your day is structured, your priorities are clear, and your team knows what is expected
  • Background in heavy truck dealerships, fleet maintenance providers, industrial equipment, or logistics is a strong plus
  • An entrepreneurial drive to partner with our RGV Regional Growth Director and creatively deliver service solutions
WHY JOIN US
  • Real Ownership — You are running the site. Revenue, team performance, customer relationships, and the standard of the operation are yours to own and build.
  • Growth Company — We are actively expanding across multiple states. High performers here are recognized, developed, and promoted. This is a company where hard work and results open real doors.
  • Performance Upside — Bonus opportunity tied to site stability and revenue growth.
  • Work-Life Balance — Monday–Friday schedule.
Comprehensive Benefits Package
  • Medical, dental & vision insurance
  • Health Savings Account with company match
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid Time Off + Holidays
  • Long-term career development and advancement opportunities
