Job summary

Safe and Secure Healthcare is seeking a Site Leader to oversee caregiver teams and ensure high-quality home care for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role demands coordinating staff across shifts and maintaining adherence to care plans.

The position requires 2+ years of supervisory experience, strong communication, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are required; training in first aid and CPR is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting individuals with IDD, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Experience in group homes or assisted living environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of caregiving techniques for disabilities, including autism and dementia.
• Familiarity with medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and monitoring devices is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist residents.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR required; nursing or social work training is a plus.
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate staff activities to ensure care plans and facility policies are followed.
• Provide direct support to residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, and meal prep.
• Monitor resident health by observing vital signs and documenting changes.
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Train staff on caregiving best practices, including first aid and CPR.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the facility.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and families; address concerns promptly.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide hospice and home health support.
