Job summary

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking a site lead in Novato, CA to support the Mobile Detection Deployment Program (MDDP) and its Mobile Detection Deployment Unit (MDDU).

The role focuses on radiological/nuclear detection operations and coordination for national security events, with deployment managed on a rotational basis and potential for short notice responses. The site lead will report to the Program Manager, oversee operations at their location, ensure readiness of detection equipment, and

Qualifications

• Experience with radiological/nuclear detection instrumentation.
• 10 years relevant experience in R/N detection training and supporting preventive R/N detection missions at special events or during steady state operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; reporting skills.
• Active CDL license or ability to obtain one immediately upon hire.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET level security clearance and DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize and report on all program planning and management taskings.
• Deploy equipment and transport via towable trailer to designated locations.
• Coordinate, initiate and track the progress of deployments of the assigned equipment.
• Ensure detectors are repaired, calibrated, and maintained in a ready state 24/7.
• Provide coverage during weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Provide just-in-time training on deployed equipment to stakeholders at events.
• Ensure completion of After-Action Reports (AAR) at deployments’ conclusion.
• Assist with scheduling off-site part-time staff to support surge deployments.
• Provide status updates to the Program Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
