Job summary

Wagman, Inc. is seeking a Laborer in Chesterfield, VA to support our heavy civil projects. The role involves carrying materials, grading support, traffic control assistance, and concrete work on active construction sites.

This is a safety-sensitive position with potential for outdoor work in varying weather and travel to sites as needed. Qualifying candidates will have a HS Diploma (or GED) and be comfortable working at heights, with hand and power tools, and with physical demands of lifting up

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred; can be replaced with relevant work experience
• Reliable transportation
• Familiar with grading, concrete, highway, and/or bridge construction and all other highway construction scopes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Carry, load, unload and stack materials.
• Lay out material and assist experienced crew members.
• Dig with pick and shovel.
• Assist with maintenance of traffic to include but not limited to setting out and picking up cones, assisting with lane closures, flagging.
• Assist with dirt and grading operations.
• Shovel, rake, spread and vibrate concrete into place.
• Climb embankments and ladders to carry material to various work sites on project as needed.
• Jackhammer and saw cut concrete.
• Clean up project site of debris.
