Job summary

HCLTech seeks an experienced deskside support engineer to deliver hands-on IT assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices in a manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot Windows and macOS, manage network and data centre devices, and coordinate with OT teams to resolve P1 incidents quickly. A strong ITIL foundation and vocal communication skills are essential for stakeholder updates.

Qualifications

• > Minimum 7yrs hands on dedicated experience as deskside/Onsite support/local IT engineer
• "> Strong Microsoft Operating System installation (Win10 / MAC OS X) and troubleshooting skills.
• "> Strong experience in providing hands & feet support for Network and Datacentre Equipment/Devices
• "> Strong desktop support knowledge including hardware, software, and networking concepts
• "> Knowledge of OT technology such as PLCs and manufacturing IT systems
• "> Experience with managed print services and enterprise printers
• "> Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools
• "> Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside/on-site IT support for hardware and software problems across desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers, and peripherals
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and diagnose hardware/software faults
• Act as primary IT owner at site, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to minimise downtime
• Maintain data closets and ensure cleanliness and proper supervision of activities
• Perform daily health checks on critical IT infrastructure and servers
• Coordinate with IT and OT vendors to keep site running smoothly
• Lead P1 incidents, drive end-to-end resolution with minimal downtime
• Create and update KB articles and documentation for day-to-day processes
• Adhere to ITIL processes and SLAs and manage ServiceNow tickets
• Travel to other sites as needed and be on-call for urgent issues
