Job summary

Cadence McShane Construction Company seeks a Field Engineer to support on-site supervision and project execution. You will assist the Project Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety protocols, and help manage timelines and budgets. Based in Plano, TX with Austin, San Antonio, and Houston regions.

The role requires 0-2 years in construction management, proficiency in Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office, and a valid U.S. driver's license.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ experience in Construction Management
• Proficient with Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite
• Full-time, in-office position
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations and activities.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Enforce safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, cleanliness, and adherence to plans and standards.
• Support the Project Superintendent in holding site meetings, maintaining logs, and documenting site progress.
• Facilitate timely delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify and report potential issues, risks, or discrepancies to the Project Superintendent promptly.
• Develop quality control correction list in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Assist with the implementation of project schedules and adjust as directed to address project needs.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors on site.
• Possess a solid understanding of construction methods, safety regulations (OSHA), and building codes.
• Proficient in reading drawings, site plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills, with proficiency in construction management software.
• Willingness to work the hours necessary to complete the project on time.
