Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Warehousing & Transportation Environmental Program Manager to lead the environmental compliance program for AWS MOTO facilities, including RDCs, MFCs, and DCFCs across AMER. This role partners with real estate, facilities, and construction to embed environmental requirements into project timelines and leases.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure, environmental compliance, and permitting.
• Experience with infrastructure builds and environmental due diligence.
• Experience in environmental compliance programs, permitting, and liability assessments.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, or equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the MOTO Warehousing & Transportation environmental compliance program to meet needs and regulatory requirements.
• Lead environmental due diligence for new W&T facilities, including Phase I/II ESAs and pre-lease screening.
• Establish and maintain environmental compliance coverage for RDCs, MFCs, and DCFCs.
• Manage hazardous materials permitting, monitoring, and reporting; maintain hazmat inventories.
• Develop and maintain SWPPPs for all applicable facilities and ensure permit compliance.
• Develop spill prevention and emergency response protocols and coordinate with operations teams.
• Manage waste characterization, manifesting, tracking, and disposal compliance across facilities.
• Oversee environmental compliance for vendors and contractors and enforce performance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep the program relevant and effective.
• Establish and report environmental performance metrics to senior leadership.
