Job summary

nVent is seeking a senior engineering leader to head the site Engineering organization, overseeing Mechanical and Electrical teams to meet annual targets and drive strategic product architecture. You will coordinate cross-functional efforts, mentor leaders, and steer training programs for new hires while balancing schedule, quality, and efficiency across the engineering function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related area.
• 10+ years of proven ability with 8+ years in leadership of technical teams.
• Experience in ETO engineering operations, process improvement, or technical program leadership.
• Familiarity with control buildings, engineering documentation practices, and sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Engineering organization of Mechanical and Electrical teams to achieve AOP.
• Prioritize engineering resources and initiatives to meet customer and business demands.
• Partner with functions in the ETO process to balance rigor, velocity, schedule and flexibility.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership aligned to long-term product architecture.
• Lead, coach and mentor leadership within the building framework and power systems functions.
• Develop a thorough training and onboarding program for new hires.
• Coordinate offshore and contract engineering resources to enable scalable capacity.
• Drive a continuous improvement mentality to exceed customer expectations.
• Implement standard design practices and provide clear direction and development support.
