Job summary

nVent is seeking a senior engineering leader to head Mechanical and Electrical teams at the Millington, MD site. You will drive strategy, resource prioritization, and engineering excellence to meet aggressive AOP goals while balancing long-term architecture with short-term execution.

You will mentor leaders, champion continuous improvement, and coordinate with offshore resources to ensure quality and on-time delivery of engineered-to-order solutions across control buildings and electrical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with strong technical background.
• 7+ years of relevant technical experience; 10+ years preferred.
• 4+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Experience in ETO engineering operations, process improvement, or program leadership.
• Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes for control buildings and documentation.
• Sheet metal experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
• Strong interpersonal, planning, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data and translate into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Engineering organization of Mechanical and Electrical teams to achieve and exceed annual operating plan.
• Prioritize engineering resources and initiatives to meet customer and business demands.
• Partner with functions in the ETO process to balance rigor, velocity, and schedule.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership aligned to long-term product architecture and business goals.
• Coach and mentor leadership to achieve quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
• Develop and maintain onboarding programs aligned to engineering standards.
• Coordinate offshore and contract engineering resources to scale capacity and ensure quality.
