Job summary

nVent is seeking a site Engineering leader to guide Mechanical and Electrical teams in executing the Annual Operating Plan and driving performance across the engineering organization. You will optimize resource allocation, partner with cross-functional teams in the Engineered To Order (ETO) process, mentor leaders, and ensure design rigor, velocity and quality meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related area.
• 10+ years engineering leadership experience.
• Experience in ETO engineering operations, process improvement, or technical program leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and planning skills with agile mindset and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Engineering organization of Mechanical and Electrical teams to achieve AOP.
• Lead and prioritize engineering resources and initiatives with other site functions.
• Partner with functions in the Engineered To Order (ETO) process to balance rigor, velocity, schedule and flexibility.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership aligned to long-term product architecture and business goals.
• Lead, coach and mentor leadership within the building framework and power systems functions to hit Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency targets.
• Develop and maintain onboarding and training programs for new hires aligned to defined engineering standards.
