Job summary

SST Direct in Torrance, CA is seeking a Site Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs at the site level. This role will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture that minimizes risk and environmental impact.

You will partner with employees, contractors, and leadership to promote safe work practices and continuously improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• 5–7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards (1910, 1926) and EPA regulations.
• Professional CSP/ASP/CHMM or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with DOE, OSHA, EPA and local regulations.
• Develop and manage site EHS policies and programs.
• Lead hazard communication, LOTO, confined space, IH, PPE programs.
• Conduct audits, inspections, JHA, risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, visitors.
• Foster a proactive safety culture and engagement.
• Oversee hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance.
• Manage contractor safety performance.
