Job summary

Amazon in Obetz, OH seeks a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead a comprehensive safety program across operations, using data-driven insights to reduce risk and protect employees. You will partner with Operations to embed safety into everyday work, drive improvements, and build a high-performing WHS team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in EHS and people management, with preferred Lean, CPS, and manufacturing EHS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive WHS program with data-driven risk assessments and innovative safety solutions.
• Partner with Operations leadership to weave safety into daily operations and drive strategic decisions.
• Build, mentor and develop a high-performing team of WHS professionals.
• Oversee recordkeeping, training programs, audits, and compliance with WHS policies.
