Job summary

OPmobility in the United States is seeking a Site EHS Manager to lead the environmental, health and safety program at the Fairfax site in Kansas City. You will act as Management Representative for the IMS, drive training, incident investigation and regulatory compliance, and coordinate energy management activities.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, at least three years of EHS experience in industrial settings, strong English, and working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent education, ideally majoring in EHS.
• Minimum three years of experience in EHS, Industrial or Technical environment.
• Good command of English, EHS local regulation, ISO 14001/45001, Environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Management Representative for the Environmental management system (IMS).
• Ensure EHS control plan is fully implemented (Training, Maintenance, sampling and monitoring).
• Establish, implement, maintain and communicate Environmental IMS requirements.
• Report on the performance of the environmental management system to top management.
• Develop and maintain documentation to support energy management programs.
• Analyze accidents, incidents and illnesses to set action plans with management.
• Advise on non-conformances and propose improvements to working conditions.
• Liaise with external bodies (insurance, local authorities) for reporting.
• Approve new chemicals for use in the plant and ensure proper management.
• Have authority to stop any process endangering safety, health or environment.
• Coordinate follow-up with Energy champion and energy programs.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and participate in responses.
• Manage safety audits and the Top safety observation program.
• Source and validate personal protective equipment with management and MRO.
