Job summary

The Granite YMCA is seeking a Site Director to lead a before/aftercare program site in Somersworth, NH. You will manage daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with YMCA standards and NH licensing.

Qualifications

• Must meet State of New Hampshire licensing requirements for School Age Childcare Site Director
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in youth development, childcare, or school-age programming required
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead staff and manage a dynamic program environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate program aligned with YMCA standards and NH licensing
• Oversee daily operations and supervise on-site staff
• Foster a positive environment that reflects YMCA core values and character development
• Build and maintain relationships with families and school partners
• Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain quality and communications
• Plan weekly schedules, curriculum, and activities; manage supplies and site organization
• Ensure documentation aligns with policies and licensing standards
• Support extended programming including vacation camps, snow days, and family engagement events
