Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking an Early Learning Professional to lead a structured, high-energy before and after school program at Simonsdale Elementary School in Portsmouth, VA.

You will oversee daily operations, staff, and curriculum while ensuring safety and licensing compliance. You will build strong relationships with families and school staff, supervise your team, and foster a positive student experience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree in a child related field or equivalent qualifications.
• Endorsement or bachelor's in child related field with programming experience.
• 48 semester hours in child related subject with programming experience or equivalent.
• Two years of programming experience with supervisory capacity and a child education background.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations.
• Build a safe, inclusive environment in line with licensing and AlphaBEST standards.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Maintain licensing compliance and readiness for inspections.
• Track site resources, attendance, and food program requirements.
• Mentor site team, provide coaching and ensure training compliance.
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership.
