Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is assisting an established civil engineering consultancy in Houston to appoint a Civil Designer or Senior Civil Designer to its Land Development team. The role focuses on producing detailed land and site development construction plans for residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects.

You will create grading, drainage, paving and utility drawings, use Civil 3D for alignments and pipe networks, and collaborate with project managers.

Qualifications

• Previous civil design experience within land or site development.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience producing grading, drainage, paving and utility plans.
• Understanding of civil construction documents and design standards.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with project teams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Associate degree or relevant technical qualification would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed land and site development construction plans.

• Create alignments, profiles, surfaces and pipe networks using Civil 3D.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers throughout project delivery.
• Incorporate technical calculations and engineering information into design plans.

• Maintain drawing standards, accuracy and quality.
• Support junior designers and CAD technicians where appropriate.

I am working with an established civil engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Civil Designer or Senior Civil Designer to its Land Development team in Houston.

The successful candidate will produce detailed civil engineering plans for a range of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects.

Salary: $75,000-$115,000, depending on experience
