William A. Hazel, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the day-to-day management of site development construction activities.

This field-based role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, tracking daily progress, and enforcing safety protocols to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. The successful candidate will contribute to planning field operations, read and interpret civil plans, and work outdoors across varying weather and active

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in site development, civil, or heavy construction.
• Ability to read civil/site plans and specifications.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in planning and directing daily field operations for site development.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field crews on-site.
• Conduct daily safety walks and enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain daily field reports, photo logs, and material delivery tracking.
• Assist with sitelogistics, including material staging, equipment coordination, and site access.
• Support quality control inspections and ensure work conforms to plans and specs.
• Coordinate with surveyors, testing agencies, and inspectors as needed.
• Help resolve field-level issues and escalate significant concerns to the Superintendent.
