Job summary
The Planet Group is seeking a Site Design Project Engineer to lead civil design efforts for diverse land development projects in the private sector. You will collaborate with Project Managers to develop tailored scopes of services and ensure quality across all design phases.
Applicants should have 5–10 years in site design, a Kentucky PE license (Indiana or Tennessee a plus), and experience with construction documents, zoning, stormwater, and utility coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in Site Design, Civil Engineering, or Land Development.
- Kentucky PE license is required; Indiana or Tennessee PE is a plus.
- Experience with construction documents including plans, specs, and cost opinions.
- Ability to engage with clients, internal staff, contractors, and officials.
- Experience with state agencies and/or DOT specifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to the PM regarding tasks and relative effort.
- Achieve project success, adhering to work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee design team and QA/QC.
- Planning and design of new construction and redevelopment sites.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and studies.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulators.
- Mentor staff and contribute to organizational growth.
