Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Laguna Beach is seeking a Site Coordinator to lead daily Club operations, ensure a safe and engaging environment for youth K-6 and oversee lunchtime and after-school programming. You will promote a welcoming atmosphere, supervise staff, and coordinate activities in alignment with the organization's safety and program standards.

  • Ensuring member safety is the highest priority. The Site Director upholds the Boys & Girls Clubs' safety standards and creates an environment where youth feel secure, supported, and empowered.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and lockdown systems with the Risk Management Director and Area Director.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the Saddleback Area Director, the Site Director leads and manages daily Club operations to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth. This role oversees program delivery aligned with the Formula for Impact, ensures staff and member safety, maintains facility standards, supports staff development, and represents the Club within the community. The Site Director fosters a welcoming, thematic, and well-maintained Club atmosphere while promoting strong relationships with families, partners, and local agencies.

Overseeing and coordinating both lunchtime and after school programming for Club members K-6 th Grade

Ensuring member safety is the highest priority. The Site Director upholds the Boys & Girls Clubs' safety standards and creates an environment where youth feel secure, supported, and empowered.

Key Safety Responsibilities
  • Supervision of lunch time programming and afterschool programs.
  • Maintain continuous supervision of all program areas with appropriate staff-to-member ratios.
  • Conduct and document monthly safety drills (fire, earthquake, medical emergency, flood, evacuation, etc.).
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures and lockdown systems with the Risk Management Director and Area Director.
  • Train staff and volunteers on emergency plans and safety protocols.
  • Implement the Five Safety Principles daily:
    • Enforce personal boundaries and uphold the Code of Conduct.
    • Monitor access points and maintain secure Club boundaries.
    • Identify and mitigate hazards promptly.
    • Understand and practice emergency roles.
    • Conduct member orientations on rules, boundaries, and emergency procedures.
Program Quality & Youth Engagement
