Job summary

Shady Side Academy CDS in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a PK-5 Coordinator of After-School Adventurers to join the Academy Programming Staff. The role oversees after-school care and enrichment classes for PK-5 students, coordinating with the Director of After School and Site Coordinator to ensure safe, engaging programming.

Work hours are part-time, averaging 20 hours weekly with 2:30–6:30 PM classes and additional coverage during In-Service/Break Days.

• Engage PK-5 students with safe, creative learning experiences and communicate with families and staff.

This position will work directly with the Director of After School and fellow Site Coordinator to provide safe after-school care and engaging enrichment classes for PK-5 students at Shady Side Academy’s Country Day School, located in the Fox Chapel area outside of Pittsburgh.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, implementation and supervision of
• After-School Adventurers program [occurs weekdays during school year; 2:30-6:30 PM, working hours from 1:00pm-6:00pm]
• In-Service/Break Day Camps [full days, approximately 9 per school year; 8:00am-4:00pm]
• Spring Break Camps [full days, generally occurring the last two weeks of March; 8:00am-4:00pm]

The job consists of 20 average hours per week with more hours occurring during In-Service/Break Days.

Qualifications

• a bachelor’s degree in an academic discipline and/or have prior employment experience in a learning-focused environment
