Job summary

The Brooklyn College Community Partnership (BCCP), operating under RFCUNY, seeks a Temporary Site Coordinator for a DYCD-funded Compass middle school program at BROOKLYN COLLEGE. This position runs Oct 2026 through Feb 2027, overseeing daily site operations, staff supervision, and youth development activities to complement school-day learning.

Salary is $28 - $34 per hour. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with NYC DOE and DYCD

Qualifications

• Associate degree (bachelor's preferred) in child development/education; 2 years' experience with children under 13.
• NYS Children's Program Administrator Credential with 2 years direct experience, incl. supervisory.
• SACC Credential or other school-age credential with 2 years direct experience and supervisory capacity.
• 2 years of college with 18 credits in Child Development/related field; 2 years direct experience, incl. 1 year supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and implement age-appropriate educational, SEL, and recreational activities.
• Manage student recruitment, enrollment, and attendance; communicate with parents and school staff.
• Supervise program staff; provide coaching to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with school administrators and community partners on program initiatives and events.
• Design engaging activities to promote youth social, emotional, and physical well-being.
• Maintain up-to-date SACC training certifications and documentation.
• Maintain participant records and files in a safe file cabinet.
• Establish rapport with youth; provide mentoring and guidance for their growth.
• Review staff files for compliance with NYC DOE, DOHMH, DYCD, and NYS SACC requirements.
• Lead weekly staff meetings; manage hours and timesheets; provide feedback and coaching.
• Attend weekly check-ins and pursue professional development with BCCP and DYCD partners.
