Job summary

Kidsborough in Winchester, MA is seeking a Site Coordinator to lead our school-age program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for children and families.

The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure Massachusetts EEC compliance while building strong relationships with school personnel and the community. This is a full-time role with year-round responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Must meet Massachusetts EEC qualifications for Site Coordinator or higher.
  • Minimum of one year of leadership experience in a licensed school-age child care or youth program.
  • Experience supervising staff preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the before and after school program.
  • Supervise, coach, and support program staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and company policies.
  • Create and oversee engaging enrichment programming that supports children's academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and the community.
  • Manage enrollment, attendance, documentation, and required program records.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding program updates and children's experiences.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive program environment.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities including scheduling, supply ordering, reporting, and staff development.

Kidsborough is a before and after school enrichment program serving communities throughout Massachusetts. We are currently seeking a Site Coordinator to lead one of our Winchester school-age programs.

Position Summary

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall operation of the before and after school program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for children, families, and staff. This leadership role requires a dynamic, organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys building relationships, leading a team, and creating enriching experiences for children.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively with children, families, school personnel, and staff while maintaining compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and Kidsborough policies.

Schedule

This is a full-time, year-round, exempt position.

Typical schedule includes:

  • Morning Program: 7:00 AM-8:00 AM (4-5 mornings per week)
  • Afternoon Program: 1:30 PM-6:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
  • Administrative Time: Two scheduled administrative blocks between program hours each week for planning, staff supervision, family communication, enrollment, and program management.

Schedules may vary slightly based on school calendars, holidays, half-days, and program needs.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts EEC regulations for school-age programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, school administrators, parents, and support staff.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate engaging curriculum and enrichment activities.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, and Gmail).
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Master's degree a plus).
  • Must meet Massachusetts EEC qualifications for Site Coordinator or higher.
  • Minimum of one year of leadership experience in a licensed school-age child care or youth program.
  • Experience supervising staff is preferred.
