W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on major construction projects.

You will help plan manpower, review contracts, and coordinate trades to ensure safety, quality, and timely project delivery. This role involves active collaboration with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors on-site. The ideal candidate will have a construction-related degree and working knowledge of drawings, specifications, and scheduling,

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree preferred in construction management, engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of basic construction or engineering principles.
Knowledge of basic business principles for budgeting and expense monitoring.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Assist Superintendent with planning manpower and scheduling.
Review project contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
Participate in meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns.
Provide field support to supervision to ensure quality and safety on site.
Assist in developing scopes of work for subcontractors and change orders.
Assist with plan development, permits, near-term scheduling, and site logistics.
