Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions seeks an experienced Construction Site Manager to lead on-site execution of utility-scale energy projects, focusing on BESS and power generation facilities. You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, budgeting, and seamless turnover from mobilization to commissioning.

The role demands strong leadership across civil, mechanical, electrical teams, coordination with engineering and procurement, and frequent site travel across North America.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience on utility-scale energy or power generation projects.
• 5+ years in a site leadership role.
• Proven experience with BESS, simple cycle gas turbines, or CC/CCGT projects.
• Strong understanding of EPC execution methodologies and construction management best practices.
• Knowledge of battery storage technologies, HV electrical systems, and balance‑of‑plant construction.
• Experience managing large subcontractor organizations and multidiscipline teams.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site construction activities for BESS, simple cycle, and CC power generation projects.
• Establish and maintain a strong safety culture aligning with requirements.
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and craft labor across multiple disciplines.
• Coordinate installation of major equipment including battery storage systems and gas turbines.
• Develop and execute construction plans, work packages, and site logistics strategies.
• Monitor schedules, costs, productivity, and quality to ensure delivery.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve field issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, commissioning, and project management teams.
• Lead daily coordination meetings and report on progress and safety metrics.
• Ensure compliance with codes, specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Support system energization, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
