Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting is hiring Site Quality Managers for dedicated on-site roles on utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Austin, TX and Boston, MA. Each manager will be assigned full-time to a single project asset to lead site QA/QC, engineering integrity, and commissioning excellence.

We are securing top-tier dedicated site talent for both rapid construction sprints (10 months) and long-term asset development programs (2 years).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years on utility-scale solar or BESS.
• Strong HV substations, inverter operation and DC/AC distribution knowledge.
• Familiarity with NFPA 855, UL 9540/9540A, and IEEE/IEC testing protocols.
• Availability to stay on a single site for the full duration of either the 10-month construction sprint or the 2-year Boston assignment.

Responsibilities

• On-Site Quality Governance: enforce PQP across mechanical, civil, and HV electrical works.
• Component Inspections: QA/QC for containerised enclosures, inverters, transformers, SCADA.
• Non-Conformance: document, root-cause, and resolve NCRs with EPCs.
• Pre-Commissioning & SAT: witness SAT for BMS, thermal loops, and fire suppression.
• Owner's Representative: liaison between project owner, EPCs, and equipment manufacturers.

About the Opportunity:

Coalesce Management Consulting is partnering with a premier leader in the U.S. renewable energy market to deliver multi-gigawatt, standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. We are establishing an elite team of four Site Quality Managers. Each manager will be dedicated full-time to a specific, single project asset to spearhead site-level QA/QC, engineering integrity, and commissioning excellence.

We are securing top-tier dedicated site talent for both rapid construction sprints (10 months) and long-term asset development programs (2 years).

Key Responsibilities:

• On-Site Quality Governance: Reside full-time on-site to enforce the Project Quality Plan (PQP) across mechanical, civil, and high-voltage electrical installations.
• Component Inspections: Manage hands-on QA/QC for major equipment deliveries arriving at your site, including containerised battery enclosures, inverters, transformers, and SCADA systems.
• Non-Conformance (NCR) Management: Identify, document, and resolve site deviations, performing root-cause analysis (RCA) directly with the EPC contractors.
• Pre-Commissioning & SAT: Witness and sign off on Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for battery management systems (BMS), thermal loops, and fire suppression systems.
• Owner's Representative: Act as the dedicated, on-site technical quality liaison between the project owner, EPC firms, and equipment manufacturers.

Requirements & Qualifications:
