Job summary

Jobtailor in Manchester, NH seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with 10-13 years of experience to lead civil/site design, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage environmental permitting efforts across commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

You will develop plans, prepare construction documents, and ensure budgets and schedules are met while mentoring junior engineers and interfacing with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning.
  • 10-13 years of experience in civil/site design, land use planning, or project management.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or AICP certification.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (2014 or later), and HydroCAD (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental permitting processes and land use regulations.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams, with a focus on site/civil and environmental projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • LEED or ENV SP certification or experience in sustainable design practices (preferred).
  • Experience in stormwater management, hydrologic modeling, and erosion control design (preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of construction cost estimating and project budgeting (preferred).
  • Strong background in project bidding, proposal preparation, and client presentations (preferred).
  • Experience preparing technical proposals and project bids for public and private sector projects (preferred).
  • Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning (preferred).

Responsibilities
