Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Site Civil Project Engineer to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus on site design. The role can be located at any of our Southern California offices in Los Angeles, Irvine, Riverside and San Diego, CA.

You will lead site civil design, including layout planning, piping/conveyance, grading, paving, drainage and stormwater systems, and manage multiple project stages from conceptual design to construction support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or related engineering field.
• CA Civil PE License required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design site layout plans including demolition, yard piping, roadways, grading and paving.
• Coordinate geotechnical investigations and incorporate recommendations.
• Prepare technical memoranda and design deliverables.
• Provide construction-phase support with submittals and RFIs.
• Site reconnaissance and field investigations.
