Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in civil, environmental, or biosystems engineering.
• Professional Engineering license.
• 10+ years in site design, stormwater, and erosion control permitting.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and coordinating CAD teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop site layout plans including yard piping, roadways, grading, stormwater systems, and paving for water/wastewater projects.
• Lead conceptual and preliminary design efforts, including field visits, data collection, alternatives analysis, and technical reporting.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and contribute to hydraulic modeling tasks.
• Coordinate with regulatory officials and in‑house design disciplines to ensure compliant site design and permitting.
• Coordinate work with sub‑consultants and ensure design integration.
• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and design deliverables.
• Provide construction‑phase support by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and field inspections.
• Lead site reconnaissance and field investigations.
