Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer in Los Angeles or Irvine, CA, is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate - Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for water and wastewater facilities. You will supervise junior staff, interact with clients, and help drive projects from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Industrial power design knowledge including medium/low voltage distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting, layout.
• Good working knowledge of NEC and related codes.
• Strong communication with clients and contractors.
• AutoCAD, Revit BIM, SKM/ETAP experience desirable.
• Project leadership experience required; leadership in major projects preferred.
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems, PLCs, field/panel instruments.
• Over 12 years of electrical engineering/design in water/wastewater or heavy industry required.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineer on water/wastewater facility projects.
• Supervise junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Mentor less experienced staff in local offices.
• Engage in business development: proposals and fee/scope development.
• Serve as Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.
