Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer in our Fairfax, Virginia office. The role focuses on civil design/land development including grading, roadway, storm water, water distribution, sanitary sewer, erosion control, and utility design.

PE license in Virginia is required, with at least five years of related experience. You will work with a growing team delivering site/civil services to public sector clients, mentoring junior staff and preparing construction documents and analyses.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or proven equal experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the design and execution of Civil Infrastructure Projects is required.
• PE license in Virginia required
• Experience in the preparation of graphics, exhibits and Site/Civil Construction Plans.
• Strong technical expertise and capabilities in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate site/civil design elements.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and team for successful project delivery.
• Supervise junior staff and manage project workflows.
• Mentor others in Civil3D usage.
• Prepare construction documents, technical reports, analyses and cost estimates.

This position requires experience in civil design/land development activities including: grading, roadway design, storm water management systems design, water distribution and sanitary sewer design, soil erosion & sediment control and utility design. Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $100,000-$143,000 annually in our Fairfax, VA office. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
