Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of directly related experience in site/civil design or related markets.
• BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Virginia PE license required; North Carolina PE is a plus.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Strong computer skills including AutoCAD Civil 3D, storm water modeling software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in all aspects of site/civil project design including site layout, site planning, grading, storm water management, erosion & sediment control, roadways, utilities, and permitting for commercial, industrial, municipal and residential projects.
• Manage design for multiple projects.
• Assist with business development/marketing/proposal efforts.
• Oversee, train and mentor junior/mid-level staff.
• Work closely with clients and agency staff, including attendance at public or construction meetings and represent the company at events as needed.
• Ability to work on multiple project assignments concurrently.
• Maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Provide technical expertise to design staff.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

The successful candidate will have technical, project management, and market access responsibilities to lead site/civil design projects in the commercial, industrial, municipal and residential markets. The projected range for this position is $ $114,003 to $146,588 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
