Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer Intern to join our Civil Engineering team in multiple locations, including Richmond, VA. This internship is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday during standard hours (9am–5pm).

Applicants must have work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided. Candidates pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with experience in Autodesk Civil 3D and hydraulics/hydrology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years related experience.
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Hydraulics and Hydrology experience preferred.
• Occasional field work, local travel, and overnight travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans per Woolpert standards.
• Use Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Apply knowledge of hydrology and stormwater management.
• Multi-task, prioritise workflow, and meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with project management to resolve obstacles.
• Perform pavement assessments and data/report compilation.
• Other duties as assigned.
