Job summary
Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a full-time Site Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary design teams across the Midwest and beyond, supporting industrial, site development, and infrastructure projects.
You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with project managers, prepare design calculations, and review construction documents for roads, rail, utilities, and related facilities, delivering quality and cost-efficient solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
- Professional Engineer license in the state of the assigned office or eligible for reciprocal licensure within 6 months.
- 5+ years of civil/site development experience; railway/roadway exposure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute infrastructure projects.
- Lead design development, provide direction to junior staff, and coordinate with managers.
- Prepare and review complex design calculations and construction documents.
- Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables for related tasks.
- Work with clients to deliver cost-effective and constructible designs.
- Review contractor submittals and observe on-site conformance to plans.
