Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join multidisciplinary design teams delivering infrastructure projects for industrial clients across North America. The role emphasizes site development, roads, rail, utilities, and power-related projects.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, coordinate with project managers, and ensure deliverables align with budget and schedule while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of general civil engineering experience with emphasis on site development; rail/roadway experience is a plus.
• Professional Engineer license in state of assigned office or ability to reciprocate within 6 months; extra licensure in Texas/Louisiana or Canadian province viewed favorably.

Responsibilities

• Work within Sitework discipline as a key member supporting design development for industrial clients nationwide.
• Prepare and review complex design calculations.
• Prepare and review construction documents for rehabilitation of industrial infrastructure (roads, rail, utilities, culverts, storm sewer, etc.).
• Manage and develop junior staff.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables with project managers.
• Deliver cost effective and constructible designs meeting client requirements.
• Review contractor submittals and observe construction on-site to ensure conformance with plans.
• Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines to track backlog and staffing requirements.
