Job summary

NV5 seeks an Site Civil Engineer to support commercial site development projects. This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to grow their technical skills while contributing to site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management design.

You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers, gaining exposure to project delivery, permitting, and construction support.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain required.
• Foundational knowledge of land development, grading, utilities, and stormwater design.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing construction documents, engineering reports, and design calculations for private and public sector site development projects.
• Support the design of site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility layouts, erosion control plans, and stormwater management systems.
• Participate in site visits to observe construction progress and document field conditions.
• Assist with permit applications and coordination with regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to help projects meet schedule and budget goals.
