Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4-7 years of California experience to support civil site development, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design. The role emphasizes growth alongside experienced engineers and project managers within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include designing site development plans, producing drawings in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, performing calculations, preparing construction documents, and coordinating with clients and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4-7 years of civil engineering experience in California with Civil Site, Roadway, or Subdivision Development projects.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification is a must.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of basic civil engineering principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exposure to local grading, drainage, and stormwater standards.

The pay range for this California position is $95,000-120,000 per year; Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate.
